There's too many SAAS services out there now, everyone is moving to a SAAS model because it benefits the SAAS providers, not the end user. If we subscribed to every SAAS service our company needs, it would cost far far more than purchasing software licenses. Our alternative is either buy software licenses that provide them, or due to these ever dwindling, resort to free open source solutions (which are not great for support and bugs). I find it a real shame everyone is moving towards SAAS services, its more costly for businesses in the long run and less customisation possible (you are stuck with how it works out of the box).
